British Military Ranks
The following tables show the different military ranks in the British Armed Forces. Ranks are shown in descending order with equivalent ranks between the three Services on the same level. In most (but not all) cases of equivalent rank, the RAF rank will be the junior of the three Services. The Royal Navy in most cases has seniority over both the Army and the RAF.
